Fairfield Railway Station

Fairfield railway station serves the Fairfield area of AudenshawTameside, and is 3.1 miles (5 km) east of Manchester Piccadilly station. Fairfield is home to the Moravian church and Moravian Settlement.

The Station, which benefits from an hourly service with even more options during peak period, is only ten minutes away from Manchester Piccadilly (with no Sunday service). This is ideal for commuters heading to Manchester city centre and beyond through Manchester Piccadilly station. The station is also handy for residents of the new housing developments in the area.

Fairfield railway station also gives easy access to Marple, a residential suburb of Stockport. Marple is served by two railway stations, Marple and Rose Hill. The station provides easy access to the Audenshaw Reservoirs for a spot of fishing.

The station is supported by a friends group, Friends of Fairfield Railway Station, that works together to beautify and takes care of the station and its environs. The group is also working hard to build close links with local community to promote a sense of community and promote health and wellbeing.
