CrossCountry’s has revised their timetable that will operate over the upcoming strike days on Tuesday 21, Thursday 23 and Saturday 25 June.
This is as a result of the RMT union’s instructions to members at CrossCountry and many other railway operators to take part in strike action.
As this action is coordinated across other train companies and Network Rail, CrossCountry is working closely with industry partners to offer the best service possible.

RMT Industrial Action Timetable Update – Northern Railway Ltd
Timetable details are now available for Northern train services operating on the three dates next week (Tues 21, Thurs 23 and Sat 25 June) when strike action by the RMT union is set to take place.
Reduced timetables are also in place for Wednesday 22, Friday 24 and Sunday 26 June.
For customer safety and well-being, we are still advising customers not to travel between Tuesday 21 and Sunday 26 June. And, if customers need to make an essential journey, we are encouraging them to check online before they travel. Services will be very busy with some disruption on the day.
Timetables can be found at northernrailway.co.uk/timetables and details of the strikes, including FAQs and how to get a refund if customers’ travel has been disrupted, can be found at northernrailway.co.uk/strikes.
In the event of strikes being called off by RMT next week, we are still likely to run a heavily reduced timetable while we resume normal operations. If this is the case, we’ll communicate with customers as soon as possible, with details of operations.

Limited timetable for Sundays due to RMT industrial action
In previous correspondence (21 January 2022), I outlined that the RMT union had announced its train conductor members employed at TransPennine Express would take strike action on four consecutive Sundays: 13, 20 and 27 February and 06 March. There is also some associated withdrawal of co-operation in relation to overtime and revenue collection from 14 February onwards.
CrossCountry Stakeholder Survey 2022
It is a crucial year for the railways, and for CrossCountry. This is not just due to the pandemic but as a result of the findings of the Williams-Shapps Review, which highlighted the urgent need for us to become a more customer-centric and accessible industry.
